The release date of the Xbox 720 won’t be released for 2012, confirmed Fuzilla.com. In october 2009 industry sources claimed: AMD / ATI had already won the deal for Microsoft’s next generation Xbox console 720. Because of the current economic recession it is preventing an originally planned release in 2010.

Sony has the arrival of the Playstation 4 officially confirmed. The company is not investing as much as happened with the Playstation 3.
This has Masuro Kato, CFO of the company, explained to investors, says Japanese newspaper Nikkei. "It is no longer conceivable to make a huge initial investment to do as the PS3," says Kato.
The PlayStation 3 was an extremely expensive project for Sony, partly due to investments in a completely new type of processor. That gamble has ensured that the PlayStation division of the company been in the red was.
